Fall Trend: Matchy-Matchy

Two words I used to despise were matchy-matchy but this fall I fell in love with the monochromatic pieces on the runway. The jewel toned colors and textures were captivating.

It's certainly refreshing to see bold color silhouettes on the red carpet oppose to the boring black and gray which is the norm for winter. Burberry and Akris spice things up with fabulous chartreuse. Martin Grant and Matthew Williamson both had vibrant electric blue in their collection. Halston and Frenceso Scognamiglio opted for gorgeous shades of green.

With the atrocious cold and snow in Chicago, it can make anyone depress. I am looking forward to rocking delicious color to put me in a better mood!
