Rihanna In Alexandre Vauthier
Sculpted pagoda shoulders is designer Alexandre Vauthier specialty. His silhouettes are edgy to no end. They are not for the timid and meek only fashion forward divas who command attention as soon as they enter into a room.
Before launching his wonderful line in Spring 2009,Vauthier worked for three years with Thierry Mugler and eight years as studio director for Jean Paul Gaultier. They certainly influence him with his well tailored architectural garments.
Rihanna was the first celebrity to rock his pieces on the red carpet and she looked amazing every time. The silhouettes had high-splits, symmetric shoulders and plunging necklines. We have seen strong shoulders over and over on the carpet but never with such concise cuts.
I know his collection is not for everybody but one has to appreciate his impeccable workmanship!

If anyone can pull off this collection, it is Ms. Rihanna, because she always dresses outside the box and I feel that is why she is so famous today!
The sheer halter-style blouse and pencil skirt ensemble is simply gorgeous!!!
