When I think about the forties, I think about Glamour, more Glamour and nothing but the Glamour. Fabulous movie stars like Katharine Hepburn, Joan Crawford and Bette Davis are icons because they were extraordinary actresses who were not afraid to take charge.

The silhouettes are sophisticated and elegant. Designers such as Victoria Beckham, Zac Posen and Roland Mouret captured this marvelous look with their unique twist on the classic and timeless era.

This look is incredible because all age groups can rock these silhouettes. If you are in your twenties and thirties, vintage looks are ideal because you are young enough to make it look retro and hip. Think classic Jackie O. quality garments. Women in your forties and over, it's best to purchase a modern inspired ensemble or else you will look like you are trap in a time warp!

"Fashion Fade" Style is Eternal". Yves Saint Laurent.
