One thing I can appreciate about Emanuel Ungaro collections is it will never ever bore me to tears with the vibrate color palette to the amazing intricate designs. I believe the color black is a five dirty word in his vocabulary. In 2007, Esteban Cortazar was appointed head designer. He had a rough couple of years but he is definitely on track with his Fall 2009 collection.

Emanuel Ungaro is an Italian designer who started designing in Paris when he was only 22 years old. He began designing for Balanciaga and Courreges in 1961. Four years later in 1964 he open his own fashion house in Paris. Ungaro is known for his colorful and and distinctive designs.

Fall 2009 collection was a return to the eighties. The dresses were bright, short and sassy. Layers were also a key feature with luxurious knits. They just make you want to curl up to a warm fireplace with a glass of wine. His spring collection was filled with delicate beautiful dresses. Some had sensational geometric prints and some were draped beautifully.

Emanuel Ungaro will always be the king of color and wonderful prints. We don't get a deal of his garments at my store but when we do, my face just lights up like it's Christmas!
