When Beyonce first wore Japanese designer Akiko(meaning bright child) Ogawa blue printed asymmetrical dress to the Samantha Thavasa handbag photo-op, I had to know who design that sensational dress.
The designer sculptural pieces are unique and wearable. It was all about layers for her Fall 2009 collection. Colors were neutrals with a hint of blue. The jackets with the wide collar and asymmetrical hems are to die for. I also adore the shaded jackets and of course her printed dye pieces.
Spring 2008 was mix with masculine and feminine garments. Colors were bright red, electric blue and blush. Models wore eighties de-constructed pieces and flirty rosette dresses.
Akiko Ogawa has a eye for interesting garments that young girls would love to rock. She is indeed a bright child!
