5th Annual Essence Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon

The 'Essence Annual Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon' is always my favorite red carpet event of the year, because it represents all the intelligent, career driven, and beautiful African-American women in Hollywood.

Kerry Washington is a true movie star, and I hope you mere mortals are taking notes, because this is how it suppose to me done.

The actress looks gorgeous in her white peplum Cushnie et Ochs ensemble. This is why the label was my designer of the year.

She completed her crisp look with up-and-down hair, Kate Spade 'Travel Edition' magazine clutch, red Brian Atwood platforms, and bold red lips.

Hot Damn! Viola Davis makes me want to cut my hair off again!

The actress natural short curly hair is everything to me.

She looks chic as ever in her white Victoria Beckham 3/4 sleeves sheath dress.

She finished off her look with amazing silver and gold earrings, Judith Leiber clutch, and black Salvatore Ferragamo heels, and luscious copper lips.

Paula Patton rocked a divine white Marchesa silver lace insert bodice dress.

This silhouette fits her like a glove.

She completed her look with up-and-down hair, silver pointy Giuseppe Zanotti heels, and hot red lips.

Octavia Spencer kept it classic with a twist in her crisp white shirt paired with an animal print Tadashi Shoji skirt.

She teamed her look with soft curls, and a pop of color Nine West fuchsia ruffled sandals.

Emma Stone got the white memo tonight.

The actress looks absolutely sensational in her white embroidered petal flair Elie Saab dress.

The heavenly dress has a wonderful open-back detail.

She topped off her look with messy side swept hair, nude Brian Atwood heels, and a sweet nude Salvatore Ferragamo clutch.

Kelly Rowland is channeling Diana Ross once again in her gold embellished Jean Fares Couture cocktail dress.

She completed her look with look with funky curly hair, and nude Christian Dior peep-toe heels.

Holly Robinson Peete looks amazing in her Naaem Khan embellished cocktail dress.

She finished off her look with wispy hair and silver platforms heels.

Tatyani Ali once again was a little too sexy for an event.

The actress wore a revealing gold lace and satin White Trash Beautiful dress.

The name alone should had been a warning sign, that this elegant event was not the venue for this dress.

Nicole Ari Parker took a more casual approach in her color-block BCBG Max Azria maxi dress.

The dress is cute for a garden party or picnic with flats, but not the Essence Luncheon.

She finished off her look with a braided up-do and gold strappy heels.

Jordin Sparks is simply sparkling in her black embellished Diane von Furstenberg dress.

The singer teamed her look with a curly up-do and black Dolce & Gabbana heels.

Sharon Leal is giving me elegance in her silver embroidered and metallic ensemble.

The actress topped off her look with a tassel up-do, silver clutch, and silver metallic bow-detail sandals.

Sheryl Lee Ralph and Tika Sumpter both opted for lace cocktail dresses.

Sheryl Lee Ralph looks fantastic in her one-shouldered Tadashi Shoji dress paired with black strappy heels.

Tika Sumpter rocked a fashion forward rise-and-fall dress paired with black and nude peep-toe heels.

Wendy Raquel Robinson rocked a simple ruffle nude ensemble pared with nude peep-toe heels.

Adepero Oduye looks chic as ever in her red sheath dress paired with nude heels.

Tasha Smith looks angelic in her white cut-out sheath dress paired with purple peep-toe heels.

Jill Scott is rocking her new Easter black and white printed dress paired with a cardigan.

Seriously? Come on now Jill. The silhouette is great for her shape and it is cute for church, but not for this event.

I need more oomph from the talented singer.

Niecy Nash looks great in multi colored Diane von Furstenberg bow-tied blouse paired with a black satin pencil skirt.

Mikki Taylor, Beauty Editor of Essence, looks radiant in her fuchsia one-shoulder dress.

I am totally in shock, because this is the first time that I have seen her hair down!

Anika Noni Rose is the princess she is in her lemon tulle flair dress paired with gold strappy sandals.

Lynn Whitfield will always give me what I want, and that is pure drama!

The legend looks marvelous in her nude ruffled one-shouldered dress paired with gold t-strap heels.

Laila Ali looks pretty in her turquoise draped Diane von Furstenberg dress paired with nude peep-toe heels.

Eva Marcille also rocked a darling turquoise spaghetti straps dress paired with gold strappy heels.
