Woman Of Style: Amber Riley

Amber Riley is definitely my new "It Girl" right now. The "Glee" actress is impressing me with her sexy and vibrant ensembles on the red carpet.

I love that she is a REAL woman and not a size -0. Riley knows how to dress for her size and that is extremely important. She rocks ruched and gathered silhouettes which hides every imperfection. She loves vibrant colors and prints. I hate to see plus size women wearing boring black and drab colors.

The key is to wear your correct size because nothing is worst than to have all of your rolls showing. Don't get caught up in size. If something fits well who cares? I can wear anything from an 8 to a 12 because it depends on how the garment is cut. Because pants are the hardest, you must always have to go up a size and get the waist taken in. I urge women to wear body shapers or boy shorts to avoid unsightly pantie lines. Ladies, please look in the mirror front and black before leaving the house.

I wish Amber could teach a class for plus size women because she is pure perfection from head to toe. African-Americans women have delicious curves and we should not be ashame of them, we should be proud and celebrate them. Amber is an excellent example that you can be over a size 12 and be fabulous!

I love her green hunter bold shoulders dress, but the split is a little too high.

The actress teamed her look with a voluminous bun, and neutral make-up.

I am not a fan of her fussy nude ruffled shoes paired with the dress, because it's too distracting.

It's that time of the year for my best dresses and pantsuits of the
year. Each year, I try to narrow it down to ten, and it's virtually
impossible.

The Goddess herself Iman was my number one pick in her breathtaking
peach J. Mendel creation she wore to the 4th BET Honors.

Gabrielle Union and Jennifer Lopez finished off my top 3. Gabby stun in
her turquoise Rachel Roy and JLo got her groove back in hot applique
Atelier Versace dress.

Monica, Kerry Washington, and Amber Riley are displaying how to wear
black without looking boring on the red carpet.

These women exhibit extraordinary style and confidence whenever they
are on the red carpet. I am looking forward to seeing more of them next
year.
