Sanaa Lathan first wore this fabulous purple printed one-shouldered Tadashi Shoji dress to the "Instyle Magazine Summer Soiree" event. The actress looked marvelous as always and I was extremely delighted to see her in some color. Sanaa paired her dress with a black clutch and strappy sandals.

Sheryl Lee Ralph recently wore hers to the "Dreamgirls" opening night. Tadashi Shoji is one of her favorite designers because she always look great in his designs. She paired her dress with mauve peep-toes.

I have to give it to my girl Sanaa because I have to celebrate whenever she wears delicious color!

Nia Long looks beyond fabulous in her black textured belted dress paired with a sleek black blazer. I do wish that she wears more color but since she look sooo fantastic, I will let her slide this time.

Erica Hubbard is trying to funk up her fashion game in this great pale pink bold shoulders dress but I do have several complaints.

The first one are those awful burgundy pointy boots. I love the color but the length is all wrong. I prefer either over-the-knee or some funky booties.

My second complaint is her grandma hair. If you are going to wear a fashion forward dress, you must up-date your hairstyle.

Sheryl Lee Ralph looks wonderful in this purple printed one-shouldered Tadashi Shoji dress.

Monique Coleman is blending in too much with this nude dress. A bronze or copper would be perfect for her skin tone. The drape back of the dress is on fire though!

What does Kenya Moore do again? Anyway, she still looks good in this black pleather dress.

It just seems like yesterday when Tararji P. Henson was on every red carpet known to mankind for her portrayal of Queenie in "The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button" last year. The actress looked stunning in her ivory tiered strapless Roberto Cavalli dress paired with an exquisite necklace.

Many of my favorites also blew me away such as Anne Hathaway in that magnificent sequined Armani Prive dress. Viola Davis was a newcomer on the carpet and she rose to the occasion in a marvelous metallic halter Reem Acra dress. Many didn't appreciate Tilda Swinson's Lanvin ensemble but I felt that she pulled it off beautifully. Why should she be force into an evening gown?

I am anticipating Mo'nique and Gabourey Sidibe gracing the awards for the first time and lets keep our fingers cross that both of them bring it all the way home.

For the most part, they played it safe last year so I am praying this year for a few surprises and risks(not Lady Gaga craziness) on the red carpet for the 82nd Academy Awards on Sunday.
