Actress Audrey Tautou first wore this fabulous black asymmetric Lanvin belted dress to the "Coco Before Chanel" Los Angeles Premiere. Audrey always look like a chic 1920's movie star. She paired her dress with a black clutch and platform heels.
Lucy Liu wore hers to the world premiere of the the Audi Pavillion event. Lucy also look divine in this dress. She also paired her dress with a black clutch and black peep-toe YSL heels.
Both women look great but Audrey just has that extra edge so she wins!

I strongly disagree with you. Lucy Liu looks way better in this dress.
Hate to get off the subject but I finally saw Valentino's movie, "The Last Emperor" and you are so right about it. The man is a genius when it comes to fashion.
