Jason Wu is the prince of "Park Avenue" women. He is dressing the daughters of Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Herrera clients. A fairly unknown designer if you are not in the "fashion world". Jason Wu appeared on the scene just three years ago and he instantly became the fashion darling at the runway shows.

Taiwan-born designer Jason Wu ensembles are truly for the lady-who-lunch crowd. The silhouettes are sophisticated, breezy and no fuss what-so-ever. His color schemes were soothing neutrals to beautiful jewel tones.

Michelle Obama first wore Jason Wu white and black applique dress to the Barbara Walters special and everyone took notice of the young designer. He submitted his sketch of Michelle's inaugural dress to Ikram Goldman who is the owner of the exclusive Ikram boutique in Chicago. Ikram is the choice for upscale fashion forward women .They are looking for avant- garde designers such as Proenza Schouler, Hussein Chalayans, Comme des Garcons and Viktor & Rolf. The most fashionable women of Chicago such as White House's new Social Secretary Desiree Rodgers and Mellody Hobson frequent the boutique for their wardrobe.

Jason Wu didn't know Michelle chose his dress till the day of inaugural ball. Now the young fabulous designer is a household name. Move over Oscar and Carolina because a new kid is in town!
