I think I am the only one on the planet who hated Rihanna in her rust embroidered Elie Saab dress. It just didn't move me at all and oooh the hair, the hair, the atrocious hair.

What did move me to no end was Miley Cyrus in her stunning floral printed Marchesa magical creation! The over-the-top bow train detail was the drama I always long for on the red carpet.

This was the first time in history that she looked flawless from head to toe. Her hair was shiny and tamed and her make-up was beautiful... pure perfection!

Jewel toned garments were all over the Fall 2010 runways and now we are seeing the rich tones on the red carpet.

I am always delighted to see delicious color especially in the winter season. With the cold and dreadful snow, it's like a hot summer day to see a burst of vibrant colors.

Purple, emerald, ruby and sapphire(think Kate Middleton's sapphire ring) are luscious on most skin tone. If you are still stuck on black and gray, you can always add a pop of color with a blouse, bag, cocktail ring or shoes. A jewel tone coat is beyond fabulous on a dreary winter day. A few rich hue pieces can take your wardrobe a long way.
