President-elect Barack Obama is the greatest moment in history and I am so proud to witness this auspicious event. I am still crying over this wonderful moment.

Everything was perfect on November 4, 2008 in Chicago. We experienced unseasonal weather with temperatures reaching up to 60 degrees.

Thousands of people from all nationalities gathered together at Grant Park peacefully to celebrate this occasion.

Barack Obama victory is not just for African-Americans. It's for every American who wants equality for themselves and their families. We endure eight years of incompetent idiots who weren't in touch with the average American. It's definitely time for a change and I am looking forward to 2009!

I would like to thank all my readers especially Deanna Jackson, Y Factor, MissJall, V. and Lina for your support. My little old blog grew from 20 people a day to thousands a day within a year because of you guys. I am so delighted you share the same passion for fashion like myself. I pray everyone have a wonderful New-Year and I will continue to bring fabulous fashions in 2009!

Best Dressed Diva of 2008: Kerry Washington

FABULOUS RED CARPET DRESSES

FABULOUS CASUAL CHIC

Kerry Washington has become synonymous with sophistication and elegance. She is the most consistent on the red carpet. There aren't any gimmicks nor a stylist pushing a look on her. Some people are just born with impeccable taste and Kerry is one of those people. She graces the red carpet with confidence. Kerry is among the A-listers who rock all the great designers such as Marchesa, Oscar de la Renta, Roberto Cavalli and Elie Saab. I always get excited to see her because I know my fashion icon will never disappoint me!

Best Dressed Man of 2008: Idris Elba

Scruuuumptious! I almost had a nervous breakdown(my fingers are still shaking) posting these pictures of Idris Elba because he is beyond gorgeous. Not since my beloved Maxwell, have I admired a man like him. He is the epitome of tall, dark and handsome. I love his modern style and you gotta love a man who looks good in suits as well in just a pair of jeans and t-shirt. If I was his wife, I would literally have to quit my job so I can gaze into his eyes and follow him around all day. Okay, maybe I need to seek professional help or just take a cold shower right now!

Best Designer of 2008: Rachel Roy

Carmelita Mendes, Rachel Roy and Maria Fuema

Iman

Veronica Webb

Noemie Lenoir

Ana Ortiz

Lindsay Price

I immensely love Rachel Roy's collection. The wife of music mogul Damon Dash, Rachel Roy proves that she can stand on her own. I have been a fan of hers since her spring 2005 debut. Her line is chic, easy and effortless. The ethnic prints and mixture of exotic fabrics are her trademark design. Rachel Roy elegant silhouettes always leave me wanting for more!

Which Diva Wore It Better?

Kim Kardashian or Dania Ramirez

Kim Kardashian wore this gorgeous red Gustavo Cadile dress to the MTV Latin America 2008 Awards. This was the first time she actually looked elegant and I was blown away.

Dania Ramirez wore a fuchsia version to the 2008 Alma Awards. Dania dress had more draping and the color was divine.

Even though this was a turning point in Kim Kardashian life, I still love the color of Dania Ramirez dress so Dania wins for me!

Trends are a wonderful way to up-date your wardrobe. When you are in your twenties, you are a slave to fashion and pretty much can get away with everything. Please remember to set trends and be fashion forward. This is your only chance to be crazy and wear anything you want so have fun!

When you are in your thirties, you have to be more selective and make sure the trend is right for your body type and personality. This is the time you are starting your real career and looking the part is extremely important. It's about quality and not quantity. Please stop shopping in the junior section. If I see a thirty year old in Forever 21, I will scream!

When you are in your forties, you have to take it easy on the trends. Please make sure it's age appropriate. The days of low cut tops and mini skirts are long gone. Nothing is worst than witnessing a woman in her forties trying to look like she is in her twenties. It only makes you look older and not younger!

When you are over fifty, you have to look regal, chic and elegant. I love to see an older women giving me fever wearing the latest trends but mixing them with their classic elegant pieces.
